I Am In Love
Arcola, IN
"I Am in Love"

Polaroid emulsion from high school.

They're fun and you should try it.
1. Take picture using Polaroid film or take it using slide film and use some fancy machine that turns it into a Polaroid.
2. Put contact paper on back of Polaroid.
3. Place Polaroid in skillet (Make sure this is a skillet you don't use for food. The chemicals from the Polaroid are not good for inside your body) that has simmering water.
4. Once the image starts bubbling/separating from Polaroi back, remove it from boiling water with a spatula and put it in a tray of cool water.
5. While still in water, carefully peel image off of Polaroid paper. There will be some gelly stuff between the image and the paper. Make sure you get separate it from the image.
5. Slip paper/fabric/whatever underneath image in the tub and move image around until you have it where you want it.
6. Remove paper/fabric/whatever with image on it from tub and let dry.

  2. Beautiful photo, that. Although I know I won't be able to try it out - I don't have the equipment... but the concept was nonetheless interesting, and the end result even more so.

    Cheers...

  3. I loved making these. I wish I had a fancy polaroid making machine so I could do more.
